Geodes were plentiful growing up here in central Iowa — and my grandfather stoked my interest in these sparkly specimens as a youth. I ultimately delved deep into the world of diamonds and precious metal alloys, eventually acquiring a taste for fine timepieces thereafter.
I’m currently pursuing the Applied Jewelry Professional designation via the Gemological Institute of America. Today you can reliably find me poring over Rolex and Omega models in the watch department.
